My name is Mike Ives and I am the author of E-Legal Ideas.
After graduating from Dalhousie Law School in 1992, I practised law for 6 years in a mid-size firm leaving in 1998 to work in the legal technology sector with companies such as Unisys Canada, Quicklaw and LexisNexis Canada.
I am the CEO of Shared Solutions which is building NetLegal – an online network connecting law firms, law schools and courts. This social network allows lawyers to work together serving documents on each other and filing them with the court, students to find jobs posted by law firms and judges to set up electronic filing for free.
In addition to providing access to court docket and judgment information, we also allow firms to boost their Internet presence for free using NetLegalFirms.
